Google states that the reviews and review counts have been restored to all GBPs.
Many business owners have recently noticed their Google Business Profile (GBP) review counts dropping unexpectedly. If this has happened to you, don’t panic! Google has confirmed that this is a known display issue, not an actual loss of reviews.
Google’s Official Statement
Google acknowledges that some GBPs are showing fewer reviews than they actually have due to a technical glitch. However, the reviews themselves have not been deleted. Rather, it’s a total count display issue. Google is actively working on a fix and will restore the correct review counts as soon as possible.
What You Should Do
- Wait for Google’s Fix – Since this is a technical issue, Google is handling it on their end.
- Check Google’s Review Policies – If you believe a review is missing, ensure it wasn’t removed for a policy violation (e.g., spam or inappropriate content).
